Iris Infusions is an oriental-woody fragrance created by Daniela Roche-Andrier of Givaudan in collaboration with Miuccia Prada. Its name is inspired by the method of production of the iris extract of the classic perfumery which required six long months to soak. A perfume all in harmony that offers a shade that inspires freshness and durability at the same time. It evokes what for many is a dream: the trip to Italy, the fresh smell of crumpled linen sheets and bare skin. A modern and elegant iris, more woody than flowery or poudré, slightly oriental and green.
Respect for tradition is fundamental for Prada; although the maison always stands in an absolutely contemporary and innovative way, its roots are in fact recognizable and very solid. The main ingredient of the perfume is the tender iris which permeates the entire composition. At the beginning, its fragrance develops in its delicate form, accompanied by violets. Then the refreshing notes of orange blossom and mandarin are added. In the nuance of the perfume, the softness of the iris is then accompanied by warm cedar and sweet benzoin, which adds a sensual intensity to the perfume.
